Cameron has been a member of Toastmasters since 2007 where she has served in numerous leadership roles. Her public speaking journey began at SPEAK OUT! Toastmasters, which is a club distinguished for helping to educate and to give a voice to the Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual, Transgender as well as the Heterosexual communities of Long Beach California.
In addition to her work at the club level, Cameron has been instrumental in creating youth Toastmaster group with the Long Beach Center and also with the Boys and Girls Clubs, In conjunctions with the 6th District Councilman Dee Andrews, to help our youth improve their communication and leadership skills.
In 2012, Cameron put together a team of 2 other Toastmasters to help conduct a mini-workshop on Publish Speaking for the assisteens branch of Assist League.
Outside of Toastmasters, Cameron has been a member of GLIDE speaksBureau, which strives to eliminate homophobia by educating and creating dialogue at middle schools and colleges. She has participated and been a proud presenter for GLIDE events at many locations, including Long Beach Community College, Mt Sac, East Los Angeles College, and she has also spoken at Los Angeles State University, UCLA and at the Simon Wiesenthal Museum of Tolerance.
